I was SO excited when Jenna’s mom called me to book her grad photos…especially when she told me that Jenna would be wearing her grandmother’s dress from the 1940’s, and that they also had a car from the same era that they wanted to incorporate into the shots.  I really love it when a theme comes together, and fabulous images are the result!  I am so thankful to the Costume Corner for helping me find just the right hat, gloves and stole to complete the look!  Jenna…you looked SO beautiful…hope your  prom night is fabulous!

Trevor’s Graduating!

Wow…really?  I’ve known Trevor since he was in elementary school…and then he was our babysitter for awhile…and now he’s heading off to university.  How does this all happen so fast???  We’re going to miss you Trevor…and we’re all really proud of how great you’ve done…can’t wait to see where the next few years takes you!  Have fun…will be looking forward to Christmas Eve more than usual this year!

baby Aysen has arrived!

I was more than a little surprised when Kayla called to see if I was in town…being as Aysen wasn’t due for a few more weeks, and we were scheduled to do the maternity shots later in the week!  Baby Aysen decided no maternity shots were necessary, and arrived less than two hours after I was called to the hospital!  Thank God his daddy made it there in time.  I guess if you’re anxious for your baby to come quickly…send your husband out of town for a few days - this seems to speed up the process!  It was wonderful to see all of the family members at the hospital waiting for the good news…I love it when the dad goes out and tells the family the baby has arrived - it is always such pure joy…

Thanks for sharing with me Kayla & Tyrel…and welcome to your beautiful new baby boy (just one more…and you’ll catch up with me!)

Liane needs headshots!

I am SO glad that I managed to fit Liane in a couple of weeks ago.  When she called and was only in town for a couple of days, and needed headshots - it was tough to fit her in, but, I just had a feeling it would be a fun shoot.  Was I ever right!  And wow…can you so photogenic?  Good luck with your acting career Liane - don’t forget me when you’re rich & famous!

I was asked to photograph the Hough Memorial Bedraces today…and while waiting for the race to start, I captured this shot of these three little girls racing across the street.  I just adore this picture…to me, it is childhood captured…pure fun!
