We had a great Christmas this year…lots of traditions that we love, and great times spent with family and our friends who we consider family!  Christmas Eve is an annual event at the Goodall’s house…we feast on crab, and then it’s on to the talent show.  Every year, it gets better and better - seriously, NO idea what we’ll do for next year!

Christmas day is always spent at our house…it’s home!  My parents both came for the day, which was nice for all of us, especially the boys!  It was also so special to share Christmas with Ilaria…she is a true gift to our family.

In the afternoon, we always head out for a bit of a hike.  This year, Griff got a snowboard for Christmas that he was very anxious to try out…thank God it was MUCH warmer than last Christmas!  And it’s always so great when my big brother is home…I miss him so much - sure wish he lived here!

I’ve been wanting to write this post for awhile…but I’m not really sure what to say.  So many of my clients and blog readers are also good friends, and I want to thank you all for such a great year, and wish you a wonderful holiday season.

This has been a difficult year for me.  My parents separated in May, after 47 years of marriage.  There were many photoshoots where you knew what I was going through - and I can’t thank you all enough for the comfort your words and prayers have brought me.  I feel so valued to have you as my clients and as my friends.  Christmas will certainly be different for me this year - I don’t think many around me realize just how difficult it is to feel joy this holiday season, when so many things have changed for my family.  My dad is currently in the hospital, and we don’t know if he’ll even be joining us for Christmas…I sure hope he does.  So, thank you all…for your kindness and understanding…and please keep my dad in your prayers right now…he really could use some strength.

Two of my dear friends also lost loved ones this year…and I hurt for you both, and I know this will be such a difficult Christmas for you and your families also.  I’m so sorry…there really are no words.

Wishing you all the peace & joy of the holiday season…and a thought for 2010…don’t take anything for granted - cherish all the special moments…

so, two funky photog friends from Alberta are hosting a cool contest on their  blog…http://twophotogs.com.  The entry is a self portrait…showing one of your guility pleasures.  Being as I didn’t think a portrait of myself gorging on chocolate would be that attractive…I went with one of my other guilty pleasures.  Just ask my postman…he can confirm…he delivers all my parcels!

Dear family and friends,

When you all visit my blog and leave me a comment, it just totally rocks my world! Your encouragement and support throughout the years has meant so much to me and I could never thank you all enough! But I can show my gratitude in a way that will help and support those that are less fortunate than I am.

Seriously, a bulldog puppy is about as good as it gets!  I was SO excited when I heard Janelle was getting her puppy…I think I was almost as excited as she was!  Little Elmo is a total little ball of perfect puppy chub…and I think I’m in love with him.  Just waiting until she needs a puppysitter…as are my boys!  I love PHODOGRAPHY…and hope to do a lot more in 2010!

WOW…I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve blogged.  It was so busy with sick kids and sessions, and then we went on the cruise…and then there was SO much catching up to do and more sessions when we got home - and suddenly it’s DECEMBER!  So, time to post some of those sessions that have been keeping me so busy.

This is one of my favorite sessions to date…two of the most beautiful and amazingly behaved children I think I’ve met!  What a treat it was to take their photos!!!
